For the past year or so I have been "revisiting"
core phase. I didn't realize I was
actually doing that until about 6 weeks ago.
I looked back over the year and realized I really didn't accomplish much
except "playing". At first I
felt guilty - "you WASTED an entire year!" - but then I realized that I really NEEDED
that year of "play." I was
going through some tough stuff emotionally and physically and I needed to focus
on that for a time and "play" was a much needed diversion to
reality.
It has been a challenging year, but a good one. I still have some things I need to change,
but I am grateful for the guidance of the Spirit and the abundance of patience
my Heavenly Father has for me. Sometimes
the choices we make in life lead us down paths we didn't expect. Sometimes those paths are REALLY hard. But I am learning that the secret to
"enduring to the end" is holding onto the covenants I have made and
trusting that God's way is better than my way.
But now I am ready to hit the books! (I even got my
"bifocals" so I can actually SEE the words in ALL of my books - not
just the "large print" versions - ha!) I have my stack of books that I want to finish
this summer and I am really excited about teaching Key of Liberty again this
fall.
It feels like I have been on an extended vacation and I am
finally home. And it feels so good!
Welcome back! I'm so sorry you've had to go through so much this last year. But I am also glad you got the rest that you needed. And I'm excited you get to teach again! My kids still talk about what an awesome mentor you are!!!
